Who the Hell is This Guy?

Paul Scheer is a SAG Award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and podcaster whose work spans television, film, publishing, and commercial directing. He has starred in numerous acclaimed series, including The League, Black Monday, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Star Trek: Lower Decks, The Afterparty, The Good Fight, and Fresh Off the Boat. He also co-created and starred in MTV’s Human Giant, Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV::, and Hulu’s Real Housewives Series.

His debut memoir, Joyful Recollections of Trauma, was a New York Times bestseller and named Best Comedy Book of the Year by Vulture. It appeared on multiple “Best of 2024” lists and was nominated for Best Humor Audiobook of 2025.

On the film side, Paul’s credits include The Disaster Artist, Long Shot, Twisters, Bride Wars, Family Switch, Happily, and Archenemy. He is also the co-host of two award-winning podcasts: How Did This Get Made? and Unspooled, which together have earned multiple iHeartRadio and Ambie Awards.

As a director, Paul recently helmed the documentary Lost and Found for Marvel Studios, now streaming on Disney+. As well as Drive Share for YouTube and many segments on Fox’s Party Over Here. He has also created award-winning commercials and branded campaigns for Dunkin’, CarGurus, NutriCost, Hyundai, CANN, T-Mobile, and Marvel. His work has received Clio Awards, Addys, and a Shorty Award.

Paul is also the co-creator and co-host of Dark Web, a YouTube series with Rob Huebel that dives into the strangest corners of the internet, spotlighting the bizarre, the overlooked, and the completely unexplainable.

He tours around the country with sold-out shows, his improv group Dinosaur, and How Did This Get Made. They also perform monthly at Largo in Los Angeles.
